The famous Haitian master, late Gesner Armand, painted this beautiful vintage oil on board 31 ⅝" x 11 ⅞" pigeons on a red background unframed painting. This good condition artwork belongs to a private collector in Canada, and is sold-is. It will be shipped from New York, and our gallery will issue a certificate of authenticity with the purchase.

Gesner Armand (1936-2008) was a Haitian painter. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Armand studied in Haiti and France and was a member of the Centre d'Art. He was the Director of the Museum of Haitian Art at St. Pierre's College. His paintings, which typically depict peasant life, carnivals, or pigeons, have been exhibited in Mexico, the United States, France, Spain, Jamaica, Martinique, Venezuela, Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe and Israel.
