Gesner Armand painted this stunning 10"x12" oil painting on board of a couple of pigeons in vibrant blue colors. This piece belongs to a private collector in Spain and is sold unframed and in good condition. It is signed and dated in the lower right corner, "Gesner Armand 93."

Gesner Armand (1936-2008) was a Haitian painter. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Armand studied in both Haiti and France and was a member of the Centre d'Art. He was the Director of the Museum of Haitian Art at St. Pierre's College. His paintings, typically depicting peasant life, carnivals, or pigeons, have been exhibited in Mexico, the United States, France, Spain, Jamaica, Martinique, Venezuela, Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, and Israel.
