Bernard Sejourne studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Port-au-Prince, the Jamaica School of Arts and Crafts in Kingston, the Students' League, and the American Art School in New York. He exhibited at Calfou and the Esso Salon in Port-au-Prince in 1965. He participated in the Festival of Black Art held in Dakar in 1956, at Montreal Expo in 1957, and the French Institute of Haiti in 1972. Several museums, including the Brooklyn Museum, the museum at St Pierre's College, and Musee d'art Nader, exhibited his work.
