Colección: Fritzner Alphonse (Haitian, 1938-2006)
Fritzner Alphonse was born in Port-au-Price, Haiti, in 1938 and died in 2006. He first worked as a leather tanner until 1974. Then later introduced to painting by the famous Haitian artist Calixte Henry. His favorite subjects are female black figures in numerous variations. The U.S., Europe, Japan, Mexico, and the Caribbean have exhibited his works. He created a large mural in Miami, Florida, and the Bon Appetit Magazine featured him in the 1990's.
