Bien-Aime Sylvain (Haitian, b.1936)

Bien-Aime Sylvain is a Haitian-born artist born on March 1, 1936 in Arcahaie. Upon graduation, he did administrative work and became an elementary school teacher. He was encouraged to draw by artist friends such as Pierre Edugene, Philton, and F. Latortue.
