Myriam Nader Credentials

        

I am an art dealer and expert appraiser who grew up surrounded by Haitian art. My father, an icon in the Haitian art world, influenced me, and I developed an appreciation and passion for art at an early age. I specialize in the unique field of Haitian art and have been selling and appraising it since 1989. I am a professional, experienced, and highly qualified Haitian art dealer and appraiser with a New York University Bachelor of Science in Information Systems.

 My lineage is deeply rooted in the Haitian art world. I am the daughter of the renowned Haitian art dealer and promoter Georges S. Nader, who established the internationally acclaimed Galeries d’Art Nader (Nader’s Art Galleries) and Musée d’Art Nader (Nader’s Art Museum) in Haiti in 1966.

 In 1988 I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. From 1989 to 1999, I assisted my father in managing downtown Port au Prince and Croix Desprez art galleries. I also worked closely with Mr. Gérald Alexis, then the museologist and art critic for Musée d’Art Nader in Haiti. 2003, I opened Galerie d’Art Nader, LLC, in Coral Gables, Florida.

 In 2014, I made a significant career step by joining the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the Association of Online Appraisers (AOA). Under their guidance, I have continued to enhance my professional education in the appraisal field. My appraisals adhere to the Appraisal Foundations’ Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP) and the AOA and ASA ethics codes, ensuring my work's highest level of competence and integrity.

Today, my gallery is an independent family trade business that is strictly online and based in New York. It offers the most extensive and comprehensive selection of Haitian art, with nearly 20,000 pieces for sale from contemporary artists living in Haiti and abroad. I have the passion, expertise, DNA, and knowledge to be your best-qualified appraiser for your Haitian art appraisals.
