Renold Marcelin was born in Port-au-Prince on November 14, 1952. He began painting in 1966 by himself. He paints landscapes and jungle scenes with vivid colors using much green and yellow. He joined the Centre d'Art in 1973, and has exhibited there and abroad. (Haiti Voodoo Kingdom to Modern Riviera)
