About this artist

Jean-Nelson Dubic was born in Leogane, Haiti in 1942, and started to paint in the 1970s. Very quickly, he made a name for himself. He is particularly known for his market scenes, Ra-Ra, and Combite Creole. The richness of his color application effectively depicts the subdued charm of the countryside of Haiti.
