Haitian artist Samuel Roker signed this original vintage 24"x 30" oil painting on canvas in the lower left corner. It is in good condition, unframed, and belongs to a private collector in the Dominican Republic, from which it will be shipped. Our gallery will issue a certificate of authenticity upon purchase. Artwork by Samuel Roker is scarce to find in the marketplace.

About this artist
Samuel Roker was born on February 21, 1953 in Cap-Haitien. Self-taught, he began to paint landscapes in 1973. He studied at the Academie des Beaux-Arts branch in Port-au-Prince(1971-73) and at the Mayer School of Fashion Design in New York (1989-90). His work has been included in the USA, Germany, and Puerto Rico. Much of his early work was inspired by Haiti's natural landscape and culture, though he has explored a more modern abstract style.
