The late Haitian artist Fernand Pierre signed this beautiful and vibrant still-life of flowers painting in the lower right corner in 1979. It is a vintage piece sold framed and in good condition. The artwork was initially bought from the artist. It belongs to Myriam Nader's Private Collection. Our Gallery will issue a certificate of authenticity upon purchase.  

Haitian artist Fernand Pierre was born in Carrefour, Haiti, on July 1, 1919, and died in 2002. Employed as an engraver, Pierre began working in clay, fashioning little dogs and selling them. In 1947, he heard of the Art Center and traded a few of his clay dogs for some plaster. Then he asked for hardboard and paint, set to work, and became a professional artist. Pierre has taken part in several exhibitions in Haiti and the United States. One of his works is displayed at the Episcopal Church in Port-au-Prince.
