Eddy Jacques (Haitian, b.1957)

Eddy Jacques was born in Cap-Haitien in 1957. Linear elements and the use of paints and brushstrokes from everyday life characterize his art. The Cap-Haitian school's unique skill is based on the subjects of the Haitian way of life, the people, the Haitian culture, and the country's heritage, which differ from the traditional vodou subjects and symbols.
