About this artist

St.-Louis Blaise (Haitian, 1956-1993) was born in Cap Haitian in 1956. He is deservedly one of the most famous Haitian artists; collectors covet his paintings. Blaise's style is realistic; the design element is precise. His images contain enormous detail and fruit of the patient's effort and minute observation. He draws inspiration from Haitian history, notably the Revolution, the Empire, and the Kingdom of Henri Christophe. His paintings are in the permanent collections of many museums and have been widely exhibited in galleries. His work has been trendy in France.
